I love you to the moon and back | Valentine card art process

I decided it was time to play with my Twinkling H2os!

The twinkly-ness made me want to create a twinkly night sky which is something that I love to do and I actually do quite a lot. I decided to turn my creation into a valentine's card for my hubby! You can watch the process unfold in my video here: To begin with I spritzed my Twinkling H2os with water and let them soak for a little while, in the meantime I wet my watercolour paper only slightly with a little spritz of water. I then splogged the colour randomly all over my page letting the wet in wet process all wick together. I splodged, dripped and flicked. Once it was dry I then went in and layered up again with the same technique. I started with my light colours first and then added my dark colours. I left gold until last so that you could see that lovely sparkle. I created a beautiful abstract night sky / galaxy!

Once it was all dry I folded it in half to make a card. I then cut out a circle from white card and stuck it on the front. I added more Twinkling H2os to give the look and effect of a moon and my signature facial features with a black posca paint pen. I then added my writing and stuck sequins on with mat medium. It was a fun little project, quick and easy and I have a lovely little unique and very me card to give to Mr B on Valentine's day!
